Pantelić red currants feature uniform berry size, a vivid red color, and the signature tart flavor that remains vibrant even after freezing. Sourced from domestic orchards managed under controlled agricultural practices, every lot undergoes strict incoming quality checks before processing. Harvest timing is aligned with fruit maturity to secure the optimal sugar-to-acid balance.
The raw material comes from registered plantations in Serbia, with certified primary production in accordance with Global G.A.P. standards. Storage and processing take place in a facility holding the IFS Food (High Level) certificate, and production is aligned with the requirements of conventional EU and FDA markets. The cold storage also holds additional certifications, such as SMETA 4-Pillar, Kosher, and Halal, enabling distribution to a wide range of markets.
Variety
The commercial offer includes a mix of red currant varieties grown in Serbia, selected based on criteria of resistance, stable yield, and fruit quality suitable for IQF processing.
The berries are harvested by hand or mechanically, immediately transported under chilled conditions, and enter the Individual Quick Freezing (IQF) process.
This technology ensures rapid freezing of each individual berry, preventing the formation of large ice crystals and preserving the currants’ structure, color, and nutritional value.
After freezing, the red currants are packed in both retail and wholesale formats—from click-lock cartons and punnets to bulk 10 kg cartons—in accordance with customer requirements.
